About me
I'm a Canadian girl, living & working abroad in Hamburg, Germany.
I moved to Hamburg in 2014 from Vancouver Island after finishing my degree in Tourism & Event Management. I’ve lived and breathed Hamburg since then! My fully self-employed as a Global Event & Marketing Manager but my side passions are creating content about life in Germany and travel. I am also the founder of the BBA Community, have a TikTok account (+80k) about my life in Germany/Europe, love to write stories and share videos about my life on Instagram (+100k) and share tips about Hamburg on @HannahsHamburg. Aside from all that, you can find me dancing in my flat in Eimsbüttel daily or biking to my favourite yoga class.
So, how did you end up in Germany?
'Wherever you go, there you are' is a favourite quote of mine. Sometimes, I really do think - how did I end up here? Love is what brought me here initially, but even though the relationship didn’t work out - my love of Germany is what made me stay. I can now say, I have made tons of opportunities for myself and I don't regret a single minute. Now my focus is inspiring others on their journeys in Germany or abroad.
Is Teslin your last name?
My middle name is Teslin, I've always wanted to change my name to it since I was a little girl. However, time ran by and now it’s too awkward to change my name now. Maybe, it's my 'alter ego' in a way? However, this blog originally started as a travel blog, but now I’ve switched my focus on traveling through my life here in Hamburg & Germany.
What’s with the Anchor in your logo?
An anchor is a symbol of Hamburg, it’s also a symbol of the ocean and the friends I have made here. I have always lived by a large body of water in my life, and I feel that it fits.
